Dan Carbin is a Principal at Santis Health which he co-founded upon leaving the Ontario government after the Liberal Party’s 2011 election success. During his time at Queen’s Park, Dan served as a senior advisor to the premier, deputy premier and two ministers of health. Dan helped drive forward signature health care initiatives including the Wait Time Strategy, the creation of Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs), and primary care reform.
At the upcoming EPODE Canada Obesity Forum Dan will be co-leading a work shop with Drew Nannis from the Partnership for a Healthier America, on political support and public private partnerships. They will cover the role of public policy, the importance of gaining political support and the viability of private sector involvement in community-based childhood obesity prevention programs.
